With positive feedback from the last Teens cooking workshop, we decided to continue the series. We are pleased to present another demo-cooking workshop for young cooking enthusiasts, featuring a delicate French Pastry (la pâtisserie).
Chouquettes are morsels of delight. They are referred to in the English-speaking world as French Sugar Puffs. Made with classic choux pastry dough (la pâte à choux), also used in other French classics like éclairs or profiteroles, Chouquettes are round and airy, and have a crispy texture thanks to the pearl sugar topping on the surface. They can be enjoyed plain or filled with cream.
Chouquettes are a traditional treat commonly found in bakeries across France. They are perfect for afternoon tea, parties, and even school snacks!
With our French teacher Lywah, also a passionate home cook, you will get to know all that is about the pastry!
Though it's primarily a demo cooking class, you will have a chance to participate in stages of the preparation. You will also get a bilingual recipe in English & French so that you may try it at home.
