Sébastien Alassimone
Sébastien has been sharing since 2011 his passion for French at L’Alliance Française de Hong Kong.
Originally from France, he explored Beijing in 2010 before settling in Hong Kong. His caring and knowledgeable approach will help you
grasp the French basics with ease!
Florian Bouton
Florian studied geography and urban planning in France before specialising in teaching French. In his spare time, he enjoys scuba diving and volunteering for charity. He'll be happy to introduce you to French culture! As a comic book enthusiast, he regularly runs workshops for children and adults on the theme of comic books. He perfectly knows how to interact with children, engaging them with his dynamism and pedagogy.
Chantal Carry
Chantal was a corporate executive assistant in Paris, France for 4 years, and she was several times French boxing champion! She has over ten years of experience teaching French in Japan, Madrid, the United Kingdom, and Hong Kong. Chantal joined the Alliance Française in 2013 and has been teaching dynamic and instructive courses at all levels, while coordinating the DELF and DALF exams.
Marie Casademont
Born in the south of France, Marie has a bachelor's degree in applied foreign languages (English-Spanish-Chinese), and two master's degrees in teaching French, and in management and business administration. She has extensive experience in volunteer work. Marie is often featured in posts on the Instagram page of the Alliance Française de Hong Kong, where she educates about French culture. She is the Corporate Courses Officer, and is known for her patient, supportive and dynamic teaching style.
Eric Coston
Eric is a graduate of the prestigious Ecole du Louvres. He has organised numerous art exhibitions in Hong Kong while teaching at the Alliance Française. He loves to share his passion for the French language and culture with his students, who depict him as kind, patient and hardworking.
Dominique Do
Dominique has been teaching at the Alliance Française for over 15 years. A certified DELF examiner, he specializes in preparing students for DELF, IGCSE, and IB (Ab Initio, SL, HL) examiniations. His dynamic and rigorous approach blends clear structure with cultural immersion, with a strong focus on speaking to build confidence and fluency. He works with teenagers and adults across allk proficiency levels, from A1 to C1, tailoring his methods to meet the needs of diverse learners. Known for his professionalism, creativity, and sense of humour. Dominique is a trusted mentor for students seeking exam success and authentic language mastery.
Mélissa Duclos
Melissa has a master's degree in French as a Foreign Language from Sorbonne University in France. She is fluent in French, English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and has nearly 10 years of teaching experience. As a multilingual educator, she is eager to provide you with all the guidance you need to advance in your language skills!
Neal Guilbert
With a degree in Fine Arts and Educational Engineering, Neal not only teaches French but also offers fascinating workshops on the history of art. His students frequently praise him for his patience and generosity.
Gildas Humeau
Gildas is no stranger to China, where he has worked as an educational director and teacher. Passionate about running, he often coaches his students in the best relay races in Hong Kong. His students highly appreciate his patience and effective way of engaging them in class.
Frédéric Labet
Frédéric is the longest-serving teacher in L'Alliance. He is very experienced and works with the highest level of students. As a popular figure in Wan Chai, he really knows how to perfect his students' French!
Jean-Baptiste Larramendy
After studying cinema in Paris, Jean-Baptiste pursued a master's degree in French as a foreign language. As an FEI expert, he has been teaching French in Hong Kong for 13 years and is currently in charge of the Jordan Center. He has a great sense of humour and knows exactly how to captivate children's attention!
Florian Lepetit
Florian trained in publishing, then in language didactics at the Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales (INALCO). He has 7 years of teaching experience and joined the Alliance Francaise de Hong Kong 5 years ago. Florian is very encouraging and his courses are appreciated for their interactive activities.
Ly Wah Yan
Lywah Yan worked as a sales manager for some time before joining Alliance Française in 2017. She completed her master's degree in FLE before becoming an active member of AFLE. She organises numerous events for French teachers and is closely involved in promoting the French language and culture. She is known for being attentive, patient, and dynamic, and is adored by children.
Edouard Maire
Edouard, who was born in Paris, currently teaches French as a foreign language at the Alliance Française de Hong Kong. In 2020, he created a YouTube channel dedicated to History, his other passion. He loves to share French culture anecdotes with his students and knows how to create a positive and reassuring atmosphere.
Benoit Manas
After a bachelor's degree in applied foreign languages, Benoit obtained a master's degree in French as a foreign language at the University of Avignon, France. He first taught in Mexico, then joined the Alliance Française de Hong Kong over two years ago, where he is the Education Officer. He is passionate about soccer and initiated the first French-speaking soccer tournament which was a success within L’Alliance Française de Hong Kong. His teaching approach is considered effective and captivating.
Delphine Marti
After teaching in Hungary and Morocco, Delphine joined Alliance Française de Hong Kong in 2016. She holds several master's degrees and a BAFA (youth work certificate). Delphine specialises in courses for children and is the Early Childhood Education Coordinator. She knows how to create a reassuring and fun environment to help the very youngest to learn French.
Patricia Montaron
Following her financial training and nine years of experience at Crédit Lyonnais in Paris, Patricia opted to teach French as a foreign language. She has taught children, teenagers, and adults at the Alliance Française de Hong Kong for almost 5 years and is also a DELF DALF A1-C2 AND TCF examiner. Very attentive to her students, energetic, she patiently guides them in their learning of French.
Marielle Moullot
Marielle has been living and working in Asia for many years. Creative and passionate about yoga and martial arts, she teaches French with patience and kindness and has been a real pillar in developing the pre-school courses.
Romain Nicolas
Romain is a passionate French language teacher, who knows how to make his classes enjoyable and fun, helping his students overcome the challenges of learning a new language. He gives great advice on how to pronounce and enunciate French words in a better way, and construct sentences in different convos.
Loeiz Pabiot
Loeiz is a much appreciated and loyal teacher at the Alliance and a key figure in Wan chai, who has been teaching with passion for many years!
Christophe Sassier
Christophe is a French language teacher from France who has made Hong Kong his home. His patience and guidance help students build confidence in their language skills.
Sandrine Sculfort
Sandrine creates a supportive atmosphere where mistakes are viewed as valuable learning opportunities, encouraging students to express themselves without hesitation. She employs multiple resources, making the process of learning French both enjoyable and effective.
Thierry Tia
Thierry is a great teacher who helps students learn French in a fun and engaging way. His class is both interesting and informative, and his students really enjoy the learning atmosphere he creates.
Gaël Bellayer
With a background in
computer and electronic engineering, Mr. Gaël Bellayer decided to pursue a
career in business, obtaining his first MBA (specializing in Asia) in France
and then his second MBA (specializing in entrepreneurship) in Australia. He
continued his studies with a PhD in International Marketing at a prestigious
Chinese university. Since 2010, he has been responsible for economic management
courses at South China Normal University (in Guangzhou) and alongside his
business lectures, he is teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE) at
Alliance Française centers in China and Hong Kong, where he is a DELF-DALF
examiner and a specialist for the TCF and IGCSE exams, combining academic
leadership, cross‑cultural experience in Asia, and recognised exam
accreditation.
Alexandre Lefebvre
Alexandre has a master's degree in engineering and computer science as well as a master's degree in French as a Foreign Language from France. He has been teaching at L’Alliance Française de Hong Kong for 7 years.
Claudia Veira
After completing a bachelor's degree in industrial and product design and a degree in business administration with a focus on applied science, Claudia earned a master's degree in French as a foreign language. She has been teaching French in Hong Kong for 8 years.
Coraline Simoes
With a Master's Degree in Foreign Languages (Englih & Chinese), Coraline has spent 5 years living in China and 4 years working within the higher education sector, including experience with Campus France, developing stong expertise in Franco-Chinese relations, academic systems, and scholarship opportunities. As a language instructor and advisor, she supports students in improving their French while guiding them through academic and professional pathways in France.
Karina Wong
Distinguished by her empowering and attentive teaching with second language learners, Karina is a multilingual educator with 10 years' experience across primary, secondary, and adult education, Drawing on academic specialisation in counselling and SEN teaching, together with language programme designs, she navigates skilfully learners of different ages, needs, and aims, fostering curiosity, patience, and motivation in learning itself, even virtually. She brings an informed persepctive to the phonetic and grammatical difficulties encoutered by English- and Chinese-speaking students, offering effective and reassuring guidance. As a seasoned international MC and interpreter, she actively helps students cultivate eloquence and self-worth through expression. In parallel, she enjoys leading Outbound leadership programmes for adolescents with intentional assertiveness and care.
