DFP Exams 
" Je travaille en Français"
DFP (Diplômes de Français Professionnel) provides validation of competence to work in French (Writing and Speaking) in specified domain and language level (A1 Beginner – C1 Expert). Meanwhile, DFP des Affaires (Diploma in French for Business) is specially designed for professionals in corporate or government sectors who communicate with French-speaking colleagues or clients.
Alliance Française de Hong Kong is the center of examination in Hong Kong for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris Ile-de-France (CCI Paris Ile-de-France) which offers certifications in Business from A1 – C1.
Why taking DFP?
Official Recognition: DFP is recognized by various European governments, including the French Ministry of the
Interior, to certify your French proficiency for residence card or naturalization applications. They are valid for life.
Validation of Skills: The DFP certifies your ability to manage interpersonal, administrative, and commercial aspects
of business operations. It highlights your capacity to work in French, regardless of your proficiency level (A1 Begineer – C1 Expert).
Adding a DFP to your resume can help you stand out.

Applicants' prerequisites
Applicants must meet the following prerequisites:
- Be 16 years old or older,
- Have at least a theoretical knowledge of the realities of the professional world,
- Recommended : have previously completed the General French level required for the exam (i.e. A1, A2, B1, B2) and attended an exam preparation workshop or a Business French class.
A1 - A2: HK$ 1,700
B1 - B2: HK$ 2,300

Activities
Examples: Complete a form, comment on a graph, write a note, write a report, meet and inform a client, present your professional background,
present an argument to a decision maker.

Your diploma will be sent to you within 2 to 3 weeks after the exam. You will receive an e-mail with a link to the online portal (you will not be issued with a paper version).
