Cooking Workshop Teens : Tarte Tatin
Pastry Workshop for Teenagers: Flipping Fun with Tarte Tatin
We are thrilled to present another demo-cooking workshop designed exclusively for young cooking enthusiasts. This time, we will unravel the secrets and techniques behind creating the iconic Tarte Tatin.
Did you know that this upside down tart originated from a happy accident? Legend has it that the Tatin sisters, Stéphanie and Caroline, accidentally caramelized the apples for their traditional apple pie. Not wanting to waste the ingredients, they decided to place the pastry on top of the caramelized apples and flip it over after baking. The result was a caramel-infused, upside-down tart that quickly became a sensation!
In this workshop, you are going to learn the art of caramelization, master the technique of flipping the tart, and create your own irresistible Tarte Tatin from scratch.
Though it's primarily a demo-cooking class, you will have a chance to participate in stages of the preparation. You will also get a bilingual recipe in English & French so that you may try it at home.
