About Alliance Française

Not-for-profit organisation sharing French culture and language in HK since 1953

We are a self-financing, non-profit-making association run by a committee formed by local personalities. We have been dedicated to foster French language and culture in the spirit of multicultural dialogue in Hong Kong.

Our four main activities are:
- Offering French courses for adults, teenagers and children taught by qualified native French teachers.
- Providing services of la médiathèque, the French multimedia library and giving access to Culturethèque, the digital French Library.
- Organising French cultural and social events, on its own or in partnership with local and international institutions, such as the French Cinepanorama (Hong Kong French Film Festival), Le French May, the French-speaking world festival or Arts de vivre events.
- Publishing PAROLES, a bilingual cultural magazine (French and Chinese) which is the longest running cultural magazine in Hong Kong.
